Bellium Crash to desktop

Ok so I just got this game FINALLY installed because I just found out about the Patch for english, So I got the game installed and I installed the 5.1 Patch.. not the other one Ill try that next... but if that doesnt work, I also put the english translation into the mix, I extracted it from the ZIP file, and then Coppied and replaced the two folders it told me too.. the world and data folder.. so I start the game and go to start the full campaign and no matter what I do it crashes when I try to start the campaign, ill be on the faction selection screen and then I press "Start Campaign" and it crashes... I dont know if this is new but please help! :(

Nope the 5.1.1 Didnt work either

so the 5.0 version works, but when you install the 5.1 patch it doesn't work? Or 5.0 doesn't work neither?

... Im going to try to reinstall it, I also sent you a message on the TWC forums haha... So ill tell you after I get done, its downloading slow for some reason usually its going at 1 MB A sec and its only going at 100 kb per second :(

what Im saying also is that, When I first got the mod like a few months ago and installed it it worked fine... without the english translation (because it wasnt out yet haha) so... first Ill try it just as the "Vanilla" then Ill try it with the english tran and if that works then we will know its probably a combatibility issue with the Patch and English...Right? xD

Its saying Medieval total war 2 has encountered an unspecified error... Normal error thing :\ ... uuummm Im going to try it with the patch now... still no english though

Still getting it with the patch too..Um Well one thing could be the problem... Im playing with now CD.. I dont knwo if I need one of the game CD's in? because my drive is broken so Ive been using No cd cracks to play my games, but I dont think it would start up if it did need the CD right?

So heres a synopsis(hope you know what that means xD) of whats happening I did some investigation within the game

I put everything in the patch and english translate... and so it works fine when i start it, and it goes to the menu... but it doesnt do any intro thigns.. Just a picture with the Loading cursor then goes to a "Loading screen" and then to the main menu which works fine and all the buttons work and everything but when i either go to start a battle or start the campaigns it gets said error ive reported.. and thats usually to a graphics error or texture/mesh error(ive fixed mods myself so I know a bit ^.^), ANYWAYS... also when i go into custom battle and try to make an army.. for every faction the only two units that show up on the Recruit scale are a ballista and trebuchet orr some other Siege weapon... So I am guessing Im missing quite a few files lol... SO if that helps any I dunno.. I just really.. really....really want to play this game lol

I suggest you to download again the patch5.1: probably you have downloaded it from the old broken links, last week we made new upload working good.

If you have Vista:
Locate the map.rwm file in BellumCrucis5-data-world-maps-campaign-imperial_campaign and click "compatibility files", then delete the map.rwm
then Locate the map.rwm file in BellumCrucis5-data-world-maps-campaign-custom-full and click "compatibility files", then delete the map.rwm
start a new campaign.

... Wheres that "Compatibility files" Button? O.o... YOull have to be a little more clear with me on the instructions lol... I deleted the Map files though and nothing changed... So im guessing that compadibility thing has something to do with it? and yes I do have vista

Also.. again.. No soldiers are showing up in the Custom battle recruitment area.. Im sure thats a big factor in wahts wrong.. if that helps

uhm I don't know (I haven't Vista!). I think in the property panel

OK so I did the all age and it worked BUT stillg etting the issue, Now the property panel :\ ah yes the curse of having vista haha its such ahassle to deal with xD... But yea Ill try to find... so I find it then click compadibility THEN delete that one Map file then do it again for the other one in the custom full one.. Ill try to do that now

OMG HAHA I found it it was right.. Im so blind..it was right on the top freakign thing right next to File tools and help

Stil didnt work, and i just reinstalled the mod AGAIn and now the compadibility thing isnt showing up... OMG Why does this happen to me ;.;

well see the thing is, i also tried to start bellum by itself with nothing.. so I think its the installer maybe? or maybe a CGF file is messed up... I dunno if youd want to do this but is tehre some way you can set up another like.. secure download site ill try to do that maybe itll fix it..

Ok i got a poicture of the error message, the reason Ih ad to take a picture was because it closes almost instantly when the game closes...

Ok my dads been helping me(hes a software tech dude so hes pretty smart with these things) and hes guessing im missing that Sprite file because we cant find it on my computer.. he also says it may be tryign to run it as an executable

I FIXED IT!!! WOOOO!!!... well IM going to try it with the english now haha but what I did was I deleted everything except for the Vanilla files... and then I deleted a second kingdoms exe I found O.o (I knwo wierd..) and now it works... so

House I just want to thank you for your time in trying to fix this.. Hopefully I wont have any more problems haha, Have fun in Italy... peace!

My dad told me that you would have to change allt eh scripting to english for it to work, not just the Descriptions and what not, or so he thinks.

I think not, many english users are playing with the english patch without problems...
