Bellum Crucis Suggestions

Hello Bellum Crucis Team,

First let me thank you for the great mod on behalf of many of us who play your mod here in the United States. Also thank you for the English translation, it took a lot of work on your part but we really appreciate it. [SM=x1140430]

After playing your mod both on Italian, and now for a few days in English there are some suggestions that my friends and I have come up with. Some of these ideas you have probably read in your Italian forum or maybe you are already working on these or if not maybe they sound interesting to you.

1) Maybe you could improve the capitals of 3 of the factions, Holy Roman Empire, Denmark, England. The HRE and Denmark are castles and they lack the ability to produce buildings that enable them to make money and raise reputation. London for England is a regular city but does not have this ability for some reason also. Maybe turn the castles into cities and one of the nearby cities into a castle and fix London to make it even with the other capitals.

2) The Pope in the Vanilla game was very aggressive and would actually conquer rebel territories. In all the campaigns that we have played in your mod the Pope never conquers any land and sometimes gives missions to blockade the port of rebel settlements but then a message comes that the settlement has come back into the fold and the mission is cancelled. Also, in most of the games the pope builds up large armies that just sit outside of Rome costing him money until he goes bankrupt, Rome is never developed beyond a small city and often the population rebel and kick the Pope out. Sicily usually comes in and conquers Rome and the Pope just sits there with 3 stacks of low level militia armies and does nothing, just keeps going more and more poor. If he calls a crusade, he sends a very weak army once in a while and that army gets defeated very easily. Maybe make him more aggressive to conquer rebel lands and allow him to build higher level armies. Or make it so he actually develops the city so that it doesn't rebel. [SM=x1140437]

3) Is it possible to allow all factions to have princesses? and can you have them marry any general from any religion? Say a muslim egyptian princess marries a catholic general from Hungary and the general converts religion or the other way around.

4) The guilds are pretty good the way they are now, but the swordsmith guild is hard to get. In all my castles I always get the horsebreeders guild offered over and over but very rarely do I get a swordsmith guild even after building up the castle and the armorers and the other buildings.

5) Make the use of Elephant units available to some factions.

I am not certain but it sounds like you have been working on minimods that develop the pagan religion with the Cumans and an anti-pope for the catholics, maybe those things could show up on the next official version of your game. I am just playing the regular Bellum Crusis ver 5.1.1 in English.

Thank you again for the great mod and for considering our suggestions, [SM=x1140441]

hi ketias
thank you for your precious suggestions,

1- we'll discuss this option
2- I also think papal states should be more aggressive, in order to expand in central italy and stop the expansion of the other italian faction, but many users prefers a neutral papal faction
3- yes it's possible but in the past we refused this option because historically not corrected (but we could make a submod)
4- yes you're right, we'll make some adjustment for the guilds
5- pheraps in a submod

if you want to play with tengri religion (cuman, mongols), antipope, shia (egypt) and sunnah (other muslims) you must download the submod: Superpack 2.0 NGR
