BrancAI for Bellum Crucis 6.3

I didn't know about BrancAI until +Mr.Crow+ pointed it out at this link: www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?p=12530353#post...

Hence, I decided to look for it and I found its characteristics: CAI diplomacy enhanced and awesome BAI. There's an amazing video in the next link which proofs it: freeforumzone.leonardo.it/discussione.aspx?idd=9746146

I can't say about Germanicus' AI, but it's the first time I see the AI making human coordinated and logical movements and, consequently, a challenging battle.

I was wondering if it's possible to implement it to Bellum Crucis 6.3 (the last version 5.1 is for BC 6.0, but the links aren't working: freeforumzone.leonardo.it/discussione.aspx?idd=8375546). Would it be compatible with Lex Sallica?

i'm the same creator of the cai and bai for bellum crucis (every version).

that files are about Battle ai.

yes, according to many users the bai you linked was better than the actual one (bc 6.3)
unfortunately because of the problems of gamefront the files have been removed by the file server and I don't know if I succeed in finding again this old version among my hard disk.
if I succeed in finding it I will make available this version again (the version of the link that you have posted is an updating, therefore for the version 6.2, 6,3 or the future 7.0 must be integrated other files not present in that pack).
I hope therefore to furnish a complete pack that you can insert without problems in any version of bellum crucis.

however I am developing a new BAI for the next version 7.0, that it takes back some concepts of this old version in greater part.

Nice to contact directly the creator. You must feel proud about it!!! I've never had this situation of real AI cavalry charges from the rearguard after defeating a flank... GORGEOUS! It really scared me in the good sense :)

The AI in Bellum Crucis 6.3 has performed nice sieges, especially with Norway and the border regions pirates haha However, when they had far more cavalry than me in an open field battle, they were charging to the front of my infantry instead of waiting to surround me or to make intensive charges in the flanks. Only one time the general was a suicide, and he was the one corresponding to reinforcements. Just only that I could defeat Denmark with one elite army (best recruitable units when you start)... :-S

Grazie mille for the search effort and the quick reply! As you mentioned, it would be astonishing to have a complete pack which could be inserted at any version :) Take your time, there's no hurry (only the eager to try your BAI).

P.S: Which is the CAI/BAI recommended difficulty for your mod? Is the modified diplomacy still in the same pack or it is just the one included in BC 6.3? I read about giving unreal bonuses to BAI at High and Very High difficulty in M2TW Vanilla.

here you can find an upgrade for bellum crucis 6,3 about the diplomacy.
it's a small but very important file. it's a bugfix and enhancement of the relations system.
i strongly recommend it (it's an official patch).

i don't know when bc 7.0 will be ready (the team is making a really incredible work, but this will need some time), probably i will publish a new version of both cai and bai before bc7 comes out.
the team has started to test it in these days, so it will need a little time.
anyway the first impressions are very good.

your questions:

- we strongly recommend to play the first games in bc 6.3 at the lowest level of campaign, then increase the level only when you win a campaign.

- about the BAI, there are no many differences about BAI. obviously the ai riceive some bonus increasing the level.

Thanks for the info! I already installed the diplomacy fix. Good to read the first impressions are promising :) Good luck with everything.

Looking forward to your BAI update for BC 6.3, if you can finally release it!
