Merchant Fleet
Hello everybody, my name is Jarek, im from Poland, first i need tp tell you that this mode is AWESOME - really !

I im amazed especially with new scripts, great map ( this mountians) and battle AI - is much harder to take a city , enemy is really agresive

Thank you very much for translation to english - i can guess a lot of words in italian, but playing it all the time would be tiring [SM=x1140445]

I have some problem with this new naval trading, i play venezia and what is funny my cities arent trading with each other.

When i read preview i realise that there is "Merchant Fleet" script.

I dont think i quite fallow, do i need to wait in port with a ship until my captain will get script " empty merchant fleet "? ( in my game my admirals didin't get it ) .....

and then i need to find some valuable resource like silk? go there by ship and click on it? and then go back to my own port?

Can someone explain it step by step? i would be very gratefull [SM=x1140411]

Hi Jarek! Welcome in our forum!
In order to trade on the sea you must to build the sea-trade buildings (merchants wharf, warehouse, docklands).

About the merchant fleet: there is a chance for a admiral, when he is created, to gain the trait (empty...) that allow him to trade. But this trait can be gained only when he's created: if he don't get the trait when he's created, he never will be a merchant.

When you have a admiral with the trait "empty...", just bring him far from your capital and there will be a chance to automatically gain a new trait that is a resource like silk, gold etc. After that, you must bring back the admiral to your capital and the ship will become empty again, and you'll have a bonus in florins.

bye!

Merchant fleet
Hallo!
Congratulation for creating a really great MOD!!! I don't speak Italian, but I still enjoy playing it!
But there is one thing worrying me: To use a merchant fleet I have to have my Capital in the see province. I know, that I can move my capital to any city I want, but I don't want to. My current capital is in the middle of my empire, which gives me low corruption in other provinces and good earnings. Additionally I have a Fraction Special Building - Wawel - in my Capital and... you know...it fits well for my gameplay feeling. So now the question - I it possible to make merchant fleets unload in other province with port except of capital?

I would be grateful for solution.

Hello Narion and thank you!
Unfortunately the script regulating the merchant fleets works only for the capital, otherwise it would be too much heavy, I'm sorry... [SM=g27969]

Sure, just your capital shouldn't be too far from sea.

Examples

Milan can use merchant fleet, ships are unloaded near Genova.
Poland has to move his capital city to Griezno to use this feature.
