Problema Educación familia y nobles / Family and nobility education issue

Mi scusi, non parlo italiano. Escribiré el mensaje en español e inglés para que podamos entendernos // I would write in spanish and english to ease understanding:

[English]: I love your mod, especially its historic rigour and the sense of deepness due to the new scripts. It's the best M2TW mod at the time. Simply amazing, keep the great mood you're bringing us :) However, there's a small issue which I personally consider quite annoying (it was happening while playing Deus Lo Vult mod too).

When a family member was coming of age, you're kind of oblied to take him in the same turn to the desired city/castle for his education (militar education in a castle, managing cities in the capital and religious one in a city with a church that it isn't the capital). I'm playing with Norway and I don't know which one I'll assign them until they have come of age (I choose it based on their qualities, logically). So, I leave the father at Tonsberg, the closest castle to the capital, and the boat right close to it, but in case I would finally prefer a court education at the capital instead of a military one, he doesn't arrive to it in the same turn he had come of age and consequently, the education script won't work (if he stays on the way to the new enclave, you pass the turn, it says he has started his education in the court, but after introducing him in the capital and passing a new turn, he looses the education in progress trait in his status and he won't receive any trainee :-S).

What could be the solution? It may be to assign more movement points to the coming of age characters (with the "novice" in its status) and then, after arriving to the desired city/castle and its correspondent education, he would have reduced its movement points back to normal as the trait change from "novice" to "squire" (whatever corresponds). Do you think it is possible? What should I modify and in which files?

Thank you in advance for your assistance and I'm looking forward to playing Bellum Crucis 7.0!!! It would be great that you add more PSFs (forts or cities simulations) as Dominion of the Sword; it will bring more campaign map realism in terms of conquering countries (the real campaigns used to take several years, and for dominating a territory it was fundamental to dominate specific forts/cities). Furthermore, if you hadn't conquered "X" city, you couldn't control "Y" region or to make pressure to the closest one, which could be implemented through the campaign map as the impossibility of progressing or moving to the other part of the country if you weren't dominating these crucial regions; you would have to round the country/island by sea or through other place). Cheer up and hugs!

Best solution is plannig birth town/caste in advance, having the father near or inside at right time.

Sons of dead fathers appears in capital, so some "unlucky" death works fine; even kings or heirs can follow this way, if needed, but their young daughters won't become princess.

When a boy appears far from capital, ignore the political education and make him a knight or a priest.

Hey Bertavianus,

Thanks for your reply! I'm trying to plan it in advance, but suddenly my plans go wrong if I get a super general/good taxer coming of age in the wrong place without any movement chance to arrive on time... Such a shame not to give him the best education, isn't it? A bit annoying, especially playing with very high difficulty and extremely reduced incomes (a good taxer in the capital or other major commercial cities makes a crucial difference).

Respecting killing other family members, I personally prefer that they'll become rebels to kill them with "fairness" :-D Isn't it possible to assign extra movement points to the "novice" trait (e.g: +25 extra movement points), so as soon as he starts its education, he'll loose that trait and the default movement points would have been reestablished (no cheating)? Or any console command to move a character from town to town instantly?

Fixing it would make me immensely happy :) At the same time, it's realistic (the parents know their children's skills, so they could have decided their education in advance, before 16 years old; engine limitations, of course). I guess more players would have thought the same.

Cheers!

I don't know if what you wish is possible, apparently is quite the opposit: reduced movement on the first turn, not only for sons but for husbands too.

hi jdofo, I think that to know skills of the son, you have to look at the father....if the father is a good general, put him near a castle, if is a good governor, put him near the capital.
however, the education gven in tis way is not crucial, the bonuses aren't so important...the child has been educated already from the family

hi, DIY solution, on TWcenter (sorry don't rememeber where but keywords should be "guide"+"cheat" there is a discussion (in english) that explains how to reset the mov points of a character... in principle you can travel from baghdad to lisbon in one turn with multiple uses of this command console.
I also swear when i lose sight of a newcomer but careful planning is one of the beauty of this game ...

Thanks Gongo80 and -witchking- for your replies, too!

Despite good management, it's physically impossible, at least with Norway, to decide education at the beginning, as the capital and the closest castle are too far for one turn (in spite of using boats). I'll try the console command "move_character z,x,y" or if not, the increase movement points and reset commands. Let's hope they don't break the script! :-D Cheers, gentle italians!

if you put a general in a navy the round first a son borns, he will spawn in the capitol ;)

Hey Catamarano-jo!

I found the solution on this thread: www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=399441

It's at the end of the second page. It's working! :-D Grazie mille!
