A question about game regions.

Lithuania had the control of some sea town?
If so, where and when?

On Baltic sea Lithuania had single fortified position - Palanga. It was extremely important for it didn't allowed branches of teutonic order to unite their lands. But since Lithuania was on papal trade ban Palanga was not trade center just military base on the shore. Palanga (and all Samogitia) was lost for short period of time 1398-1409. As for black sea, Lithuania had several shore castles most important was Chadzybey renamed Švento Jono pilis (Castle of Sant John). Black sea shore was controled 1399-1441. i know that in the 13th century Palanga was the only lithuanian city on the Baltic Sea and the Teutonic Knights never managed to take control of it. Was Palanga under lithuanian control even in the second half of 12th century?

There was no Lithuania in XII century just group of closely related tribal lands. Palanga was controled by Curonians they ware gradually conquered by "Brothers of sword" (from 1237 branch of Teotonic order) during first half of XIII century. Lithuanians (one of the esatern tribes) united still free baltic peoples only in 1236 when they crushed brothers of sword in Battle of Saule. And then took what remain of Curonian lands as well

Ok, perfect. So in 12th century Lithuanian tribes don't had any access to sea. They gained it only after Saule. Many thanks

This is the map of Baltic tribal lands in XII century (original and less detailed translation to italian). Each had slightly different language , but same religion and basic social organisation. Map is simplified and to he honest quite dated but it can give general idea about situation at that time
