---Unità Han---
{Han_Halberd }Alabardieri Leggeri Han

{Han_ Heavy _Halberd}Alabardieri Han Pesanti
{Han_Horse_Archer}Arcieri Han a cavallo
{Han_Mounted_Crossbow}Balestrieri Han a cavallo
Soldati Han Inglese
{Han_Halberd }Han Light halberdiers
{Han_Halberd _descr}The light halberdiers Han are little more than peasants, with a spear in his hand, recruited by force in their villages at the behest of the mandarins are initially reluctant to learn the rules of discipline.
Only when they realize that the glory and the spoils are a way to reach a "status" in their community, they begin to fight hard but the lack of discipline often makes them difficult to control and sometimes unreliable, with a good attitude to unproductive skirmishes. When they fight, they use "Ji", a Chinese spear composed by a small crescent-shaped blade fixed on the top of a wooden pole approximately 1.5 m long.A decorative red horsehair tuft is usually set below the tip.A skilled warrior can use this weapon both with the flat side and the point, inflicting substantial damage to infantry and cavalry:it happen to get caught and be unsaddled, or be deprived of a shield. That's why these men are often used to counter the charge of cavalry.
There are several types of "Ji": with a rectangular or a saw-toothed blade, or with two curved spear points attached, and often at the opposite end of the auction there is a weight used during the fight.
The lack of protection, due to poverty, makes them extremely vulnerable mercenaries and not suitable for direct and prolonged clashes with better trained and equipped troops.
{Han_Medium_Halberd}Han Medium Halberdiers
{Han_Medium_Halberd_descr}They are soldiers who have already experienced bloody battles, the loss of friends and comrades convinced them to learn quickly fighting techniques is the only way survive:among these troops it is no longer worth the individual value, but the discipline and the fellowship of the whole unit, which become like family for each soldier. There are several types of "Ji": with a rectangular or a saw-toothed blade, or with two curved spear points attached, and often at the opposite end of the auction there is a weight used during the fight. The spoliation of defeated enemies allows them to have an improved defensive equipment made up of lamellar armor with leather scales that protect the chest. This makes them less susceptible to the enemies’arrows and more protected during the melee.
{Han_ Heavy _Halberd}Han Heavy Halberdiers
{Han_ Heavy _Halberd_descr}Many years fighting under their commander makes these men fearsome warriors, trained and disciplined. They use Quin Reign’s fighting tecniques and formation in battle: they operate grouped into "Jiang" (arrays of 100 men) being aware that their strength consists in fightin in a large group together, where spears can become an insurmountable forest. {Han_ Medium_Swordman }Han Swordsmen
{Han_ Medium_Swordman _descr}Not everyone among those that belong to the lower class spends his life begging or living on subsistence in a field: some join up private militias that the will of redemption and the thirst for richness makes harsh and determined.
Formed by brave and impetuous members, properly trained, they are employed in the bloodiest assaults and melee.
They are equipped with a "Dao" sword , the most common Chinese saber; this one-edged weapon has a slight curvature along the entire length of the blade that reduces the ability of point strikes, on behalf of a greater efficacy in the cut .
A widespread fighting tecnique is to swing the sword in circle in order to hit anyone who enters the range of the blade.
Survival in combat is often due to the effectiveness of protections: so these soldiers wears leather lamellar armor which covers the chest and bring medium-small wooden shields.
These men are used wherever there is need to reinforce the sides reinforcing them or to assault enemy positions, and usually their perform their tasks.
Each Emperor worthy of that name makes sure to have always a couple of these hard fighters bands in the ranks of his army.
{Han_ Heavy_Swordman }Han Heavy Swordsmen
{Han_ Heavy _Swordman _descr} Many years of life spent in fighting at the service of their commander make these men fearsome, fierce and impetuous warriors, and very well trained and disciplined troops, comparable with the most "noble". They apply the "Qin" kingdom army’s fighting techniques and their formations in battle: they operate grouped into "Jiang" (arrays of 100 men).
In battle the various groups remain well bonded and coordinated: the 5 elements of "Wu", the base unit ,when under attack, protect each other, and struck together their offensives: it is difficult to separate them even in the chaos of battle.
Better wages proportionate to their value allow these men to equip themselves with excellent iron lamellar armor, shields, chest protections and medium-small shields. They are used wherever there is need to revive the fortunes of battle, these troops do their duty by slaughtering anyone who opposes them.
{Han_Crossbow}Han Crossbow
{Han_Crossbow_descr}These soldiers are good with the crossbow and are a valid alternative to the most widespread archers, who although the faster rate of fire can not reach certainly range and casting power obtained by the latter. These troops, widely used in China, are not intended to skirmish the enemy array, in fact, their prerogative is to inflict as much damage as possible even to well-protected troops:an arrow is often fatal.
Being a prey easy to catch for cavalry, they operate near other troops able to ensure their own protection. They have no protections and are armed only with a duǎn dao ("short sword"), a sword usually shorter with the features of the dao, but they do not participate unless they've been forced to close combat, where they would surely suffer heavy losses.
{Han_Medium_Crossbow}Han Élite Crossbowmen
{Han_Medium_Crossbow_descr}They are used on all battle fronts, are troops that provoke and induce the enemy to attack vexing them with the shot of arrows with great penetration power, actively promoting the disintegration of the enemy formations.
Since they are an easy prey for cavalry they operate near other troops able to ensure their own protection .These troops are equipped with leather lamellar armor worn to protect the chest and with a duǎn dao ("short sword"), a sword usually shorter with the features of the dao. Despite fighting valiantly they are not able to sustain prolonged combat with better equipped and trained troops.
{Han_Horse_Archer}Han Mounted Archers
{Han_Horse_Archer_descr}Born to counter incursions of the Xiongnu into Empire’s terriories, China cavalry have replaced and made useless the chariot, which was very common in previous times. These units are often composed by soldiers recruited among Mongolian tribes at war one with each other, they carry out the tasks assigned to them in an excellent way.
They are formed by skilled riders and equally skilled shooters, who engage in battles with enemy troops staying always beyond their reach, targeting their enemy with a cloud of deadly arrows.
These archers on horseback, equipped with composite bows, quivers each one containing one hundred of arrows and a sword called liǔyè dao ("willow leaf saber") once finished their arrows, can be used as a support to the cavalry so properly called to enclose or to disperse skirmishers and enemy shooters.
{Han_Mounted_Crossbow}Han Mounted Crossbowmen
{Han_Mounted_Crossbow_descr}They are Chinese lineage troops who use a crossbow on the contrary despised by Mongol soldiers , whom the bow is more suited.
These units have the same function and use as the archers on horseback, they differ essentially in the capacity typical of the crossbow to cause damage to and losses even to well-protected troops. They are equipped with a sword called liǔyè dao ("willow leaf saber")and once finished their arrows, they can be used as a support to the cavalry so properly called to enclose or to disperse skirmishers and enemy shooters.
{Han_Cavalry}Han Cavalry
{Han_Cavalry_descr}The Han knights are armed with a "Ji" (a weapon like a halberd) which is blocked below the elbow for maximum impact while charging.
Even if they have a Dao sword for close defense, they are not sufficiently protected to sustain long melee: their protection is the speed.
They are best used to trouble rather than as soldiers who can spend time in melee, but they are excellent for breaking the formations of skirmishers, attacking lighter infantry or shooters and chase fleeing enemies to prevent them from returning and recovering moral.
{Han_Medium_Cavalry}Han Cavalry
{Han_Medium_Cavalry_descr}These soldiers, recruited among the landed aristocracy fell into disgrace, are fast riders who use a tactic of attack and escapein which the destructive power of their halberds "Ji" is maximized. The mere appearance of red tufts hung to their halberds inspires respect and fear in their enemies. They can afford better equipment than the typical light cavalryman, including a leather armor worn to protect the chest. They also carry a sword dao used in melee following to charges used to strike cutting blows with deadly effect.
The lack of heavy armor makes them vulnerable to prolonged fighting: to linger too long to fight against heavy infantry is not recommended for these soldiers. however, if theyare used to charge repeatedly enemy units, they can have a tremendous effect, routing even well-trained units.
{Han_Heavy_Cavalry}Han Heavy Cavalry
{Han_Heavy_Cavalry_descr}Han knights are heavy armored spearmen capable of routing even experienced infantry units, they are slower than light spearmen but if they have sufficient space at the disposal the acceleration is transformed into a devastating charge. If they are used against units already weakened they are able to burst asunder all the soldiers and to overwhelm all those who stand in their trajectory.
Since they wear armor in iron scales and a helmet to protect their heads, they do not to carry a shield: this way, with their hands free, they can better handle their "Ji", and if it remains stuck in the body of an enemy they can fight in the middle of the fray waving swipes with the Dao.
And then, used in repeated charges they can inflict heavy damage to any unit and disrupt even the strongest of alignments.
